Daejeon, situated about two hours by car south of Seoul,
is a major train junction for the Seoul-Busan and Seoul-Gwangju-Mokpo
lines, and is rapidly developing into one of Korea's major
scientific centers.
Expo Park, the site where the Daejeon Expo '93 was held,
has been renovated and converted into a public science park.

Buyeo, the last capital of the Baekje Kingdom (18 B.C.-A.D.
660), features the comprehensive collection of the Buyeo National
Museum which houses about 7,000 relics of Baekje. The rest
of the province doesn't disappoint either with its numerous
historical sites, temples, mountains and seashores.
