Kyeryongsan National Park
The
name Kyeryong mountain originates from the three peaks of
Chonwhang, Ssalgae and Sambul, whose ridges resemble a dragon.
As one of the five major mountains in the Shilla Dynasty,
and one of the places for worshiping mountain gods in the
Choson Dynasty, many shaman today visit the Kyeryongsan for
holding rites.
The range also contains 4 large temples, called Tonghaksa
temple, Kapsa temple, Shinwonsa temple and Yonghwasa temple.
In addition, it also contains the Yongmoon waterfall, Yongyu
pond, Eil brook, Paknyonggang, Talmoon pond, Kunja pond, full-moon
pond, Sujung peak, and Kyeryongmyong rock. The valley between
Tonghaksa and Kapsa temple is beyond description and the maple
trees produce a real spectacle.
Taean Haean National park
Taean
Haean('seashore') National Park offers some dramatic coastal
scenery, four large sandy beaches and about 133 islands and
islets.
The largest isaland by far is Anmyondo, which can be reached
by a bridge. From north to south, the four main beaches are
Chollipo, Mallipo, Yonpo and Mongsanpo.
