Park

Naejangsan
Naejangsan was given its name because it is said to have many things hidden within it. The mountain is known as the "Kumgangsan of Honam" (Kumgangsan is one of the most famous mountains in North Korea) because during the autumn season the crimson maple leaves create a view that is not easily forgotten.

The scenery here in autumn is that of blazing maple leaves. Every season is different. In the spring royal azalea and cherry blossoms bloom. The mountain turns green in the summer and winter provides the breathtaking vista of rock cliffs and snow. Throughout the year a variety of wild flowers bloom all over the mountain.

Wolchulsan
Wolchulsan is located in the southern part of Korea. The name, Wolch'ul, meaning 'Greeting of the Moon' was given to this mountain because its geographical location lends itself to greeting the moon first in western Korea. On the top of the mountain there is a rock floor that can seat about 300 people at one time.

Kurum Bridge on the side of Palam Falls, connecting Shirubong with Maebong, is the longest bridge in Korea. In the valley of the mountain's breast, Chilsong Fall's grand panorama of the seven waterfalls are astounding. Wolchulsan provides the most beautiful sunset against the vast Yellow Sea.

Azaleas and royal azaleas in full blossom in spring, cool waterfalls and misty haze over Ch'onhwangbong in summer, reddish warm tints in fall, and snowscaped peaks in winter are just some of the delightful images that await you. The mountain changes with each season. Wolchulsan is most popular for climbing druing the thawing season when camellia flowers appear

Tadohae National Park
Tadohae National Park consists of more than 1700 islands of the Jeonllanam-do Province including Hongdo (island), Huksando, and Wando and the surrounding sea. Each island around the park offers beautiful scenery.

According to the history of the park, this area was the base of 'the sea kingdom' which a Shilla admiral named Changbogo established to regulate maritime trade of East Asia in the early 9th century.

During the Koryo Dynasty (918-1392 A.D.) this area was Koryo's sea trade route to Sung and Yuan. Years ago huge amounts of relics was discovered under the sea, which confirmed the historical facts. It is also one of the nation's best fishing grounds.

Chogyesan
Chogyesan Mountain Park consists of Yonsanbong Peak, Songkwangsan, and Chogyesan. There are several famous temples such as Sonamsa, Songkwang Temple at the foot of beautiful peaks. Sonamsa Temple, which was built during King Songwang's rule(Paekje Kingdom, 529), boasts its Chogyesan Mountain.

Precious relics such as Sungsonkyo Bridge, Iljumum Gate, Palsangjon, Taeungjon, Wont'ongjon, and Puljojon(1698), harmonize with beautiful old apricot trees. Sungsonkyo Bridge(National Treasure No.400) was built in the shape of a rainbow. From the valley, you can see the true beauty of Sunsonkyo.
