Insadong
Called "Mary's Alley" by foreigners, Korea's art and
antique district reminds many visitors of a street museum.
One hundred-odd antique shops, old bookstores, and art
galleries are concentrated in this area.
Here you can find old paintings, ceramics, wooden chests
and metal art work, as well as earthenware from the
Unified Silla Kingdom and white porcelain from the Joseon
Dynasty. Prices can range from US$125 to US$125,000.
Insa-dong is good for many hours of browsing and window
shopping.
